A post shared on X allegedly shows images of Vice President Kamala Harris wearing revealing clothing.

Verdict: False

These photos are not genuine. Websites used for AI content detection indicate that each image has a high probability of being generated by artificial intelligence (AI).

Fact Check:

A new CNN poll found that 48 percent of voters nationwide support Harris while 47 percent support former President Donald Trump, another poll shows that Harris is favored by female independent voters, according to CNN. In Montana, Harris was left off of an absentee ballot, causing the entire system to be shut down, according to Newsweek.

An X post purportedly shows two images of Harris in revealing clothing. The photo on the left appears to show her in a dark purple tube top with a short skirt of a similar color. The image on the right appears to show her wearing a small dark red dress with many gaps exposing her skin. In both pictures she is wearing what looks like a black choker and thigh high stockings.

“Sure hope Kamala is never America’s president. Your opinion?” the post’s caption reads. (RELATED: No, Kamala Harris was not Intoxicated During Her Speech)

These images are not genuine, however. Putting the image on the left into Hive Moderation shows that it is 86.9 percent likely to contain AI-generated content, but shows a much lower percentage for the image on right. Putting the image on the right into Maybe’s AI Art Detector generates a 67 percent likelihood of it being artificial, and also corroborates that the image on the left is likely AI.

Shayan Sardarizadeh, a journalist for BBC Verify, made an X post that reads, “These two fake images of Kamala Harris, most likely generated with AI, are being widely shared online.”
